Apparently EVERY Mercedes is an AMG. All of them. Or there’s some local dude selling AMG badges at the swap meet for s steep discount. Phoenix is such an AMG mecca, I’ve even seen a BMW with an AMG badge! Not only that, but apparently, aside from that one AMG BMW, all the other Bimmers are M models. Probably courtesy of AMG guys cousin? I don’t know man, it’s very confusing to this Oppo.

What were the numbers after the series badge, i.e. CXX or CXXX.

AMG and M (and S) aren’t nearly as exclusive now as in the past, definitely more of those badges on the road today.

Yesterday I saw a guy with an Audi A5, except he had swapped some gaudy ebay grill on the front with GIANT QUAT T RO lettering as well as an RS5 badge, then as I continue driving and see the back of it, the entire rear was still stock and had the A5 badge. It was all very sad.

Oh, Phoenix? Every Merc is an AMG. Every BMW is a M. Every Honda is a Type R. Every Subaru is a STI. Every Altima is a GT-R.
The irony is that the actual Type Rs and Ms and STIs are all debadging as fast as they can for that "clean" look.

This feels like my former E39 528 that now runs around sporting M badges. It was a glorious car, but there was nothing M about it.
